The first time I went to Alaska, I honestly wasn't expecting it to be THAT epic. Growing up in the PNW, I've been spoiled with beautiful scenery and wildlife. I. Was. So. Wrong. It was seriously one of the most amazing trips I've ever been on! So, of course, I was thrilled when UnCruise Adventures recently asked me to return to photograph one of their incredible 7-day itineraries: Inner Reaches Western Coves.
The trip started in Ketchikan, and we arrived early so we could explore the town and head out to Totem Bight. Our week on the boat was absolutely packed with adventure! We hiked along the shoreline spotting bear tracks, snorkeled the Alaskan waters, kayaked among icebergs, watched sea otters, seals, eagles, and humpback whales - WE WHALE WATCHED FROM THE HOT TUB! It really doesn't get much better than that!
After our UnCruise, we spent an amazing day in Juneau with Above & Beyond Alaska paddling Mendenhall Glacier to explore the ice caves before catching our flight back to Seattle.
